James E. Perdue Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Dr. James E. Perdue (d.1998) to honor his unending commitment to the availability of a quality broad-based liberal arts education. The award is intended to
inspire, encourage, and stimulate intellectual growth via the pursuit of a liberal arts education This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student meets the above criteria. Qualified applicants will:
a. Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in SUNY Oswego’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences or be a music, theatre or arts major
b. Have a minimum SUNY Oswego GPA of 3.25
c. Submit a 300 word or less essay on the value of a broad-based liberal arts education.
NOTE: This scholarship may be renewed, pending academic performance as stated above.
