Raymond Joseph Stastny Scholarship

This award honors the memory of alumnus Raymond Joseph Stastny ’78 (d.1987), an outstanding agent with the U.S. Justice Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, who lost his life in the line of duty. This award will be given to an outstanding student majoring in criminal justice and aspiring toward a career in law enforcement. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a public justice major
b. Be a full-time student
c. Have completed 27–86 credits, including transfer credits, by deadline
d. Maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative SUNY Oswego GPA at the time of selection
e. Participate in intramural or intercollegiate athletics
f. Demonstrate financial need
g. Submit a brief narrative describing career goals, financial need, and special achievements (academic, athletic, community, etc.)
