Math, Science, and Technology Education Scholarship

Douglas Bower ’71 established this award to support undergraduate education students. The lessons Douglas learned, and the skills he gained from SUNY Oswego experiences have helped nurture meaningful professional achievements. This sentiment provided the lead, which Douglas wants to pay forward, in the form of this fund – “inspired by a shared commitment to excellence” – to connect our next generation(s) with the teaching profession – with a focus on Math, Science, and Technology Education students. To qualify for this award, a student must:
• Be a full-time matriculated student studying math, science, or technology education.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Apply in sophomore year to receive the award junior year.

Please Note: This scholarship is renewable for a second year if the student continues to meet all above criteria.
