Lorraine Teleky-Petrella '66 Geology Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Lorraine Teleky-Petrella ’66 to support students in the Geology Department. As one of the few female students to have studied and obtained a B.S. in Earth Science in the 1960’s, this scholarship is also to encourage women studying in the field.
To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a Geology major
b. Maintain a 3.00 GPA.
c. Apply in sophomore or junior year, (having completed 27-86 credits, including transfer) for an award to be received in the subsequent academic year.
d. Be a U.S. Citizen
e. Write a 200-300 word essay on how female scientists have made significant contributions to the study of geology.
