Honorable George C. Wortley Scholarship

This scholarship was established by an anonymous donor to honor George Wortley, a public servant who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from Central New York (1981-1989), leaving an indelible mark in Congress during an interesting time in American history. Mr. Wortley is also a WWII veteran who served in both the Merchant Marine Reserves and the US Naval Reserves. This scholarship provides economic relief to a deserving student from Onondaga County. To qualify for this award, students must:
a. Be a declared Political Science major
b. Be from Onondaga County
c. Have a minimum SUNY Oswego GPA of 3.00
