Lynn Nagy Farrar ’61 Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Neil and Lynn Nagy Farrar ’61 to support a deserving student with financial need majoring in the School of Education who shows promise and commitment to the field of education. Lynn spent many wonderful and challenging years teaching at the middle school level. Both Lynn and Neil want to provide others the opportunity to have this fulfilling experience as well.
To qualify for this award a student must:
a. Be a full time student enrolled in the School of Education.
b. Have demonstrated financial need
c. Have a minimum 3.00 GPA
d. Demonstrate promise and commitment to the field of education
e. Apply in the student’s freshman, sophomore or junior year for an award in the following academic year.
f. Submit an essay (minimum 250 words) indicating how receiving this scholarship will relieve financial strain or financial burden that either the student or family might be experiencing.
This scholarship is renewable if the student continues to meet all of the above criteria.
