Gillespie/Pietroski Scholarship

“This award was established by M. Jean Pietroski ’71, ’74 to honor the lives and accomplishments of her parents, Milton Hope and Marjorie Lucy (Roth) Gillespie. The scholarship is intended to recognize an individual who demonstrates courage, determination and enthusiasm for learning. To qualify for this award a student must:
a. Be a non-traditional student, preferably from the Phoenix Central School system or Oswego County, returning to school after
at least a ten-year interruption in formal education.
b. Be a full-time junior (completed 57–86 credits, including transfer credits, by by the end of this year’s winter session) enrolled
in the School of Education pursuing a degree leading to teacher certification at SUNY Oswego.
c. Be a person of sound character who exhibits commitment to higher education.
d. Maintain a minimum 3.00 SUNY Oswego cumulative GPA
e. Demonstrate financial need”
