Bob Garrett ’83 Endowed Accounting/Business Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Bob Garrett ’83 to commemorate the sacrifices his parents made so their children could be the first generation to attend college. The scholarship is offered to support a first-generation college student committed to the field of accounting/business, who displays academic merit and has demonstrated community service. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a first-generation college student.
b. Be a full-time matriculated student, majoring in accounting or business administration, with preference given to students in the accounting program.
c. Be a freshman, sophomore or junior student at time of application, (having completed 12-86 credits, including transfer). Senior standing students may also apply if enrolled in the five-year accounting program.
d. Maintain a minimum SUNY Oswego cumulative GPA of 3.0.
e. Submit a statement that documents community service.
f. Preference will be given to U.S. veterans and children of U.S. veterans.
