Bush Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Richard Bush ’92 M’97 and Diane Kruse Bush ’92 M’99 to provide financial assistance to a deserving student in the School of Education. This scholarship honors the memory of George S. and Margery Bush. Richard and Diane were both trained as teachers at SUNY Oswego. Richard is now a professor in the Department of Technology at SUNY Oswego and Diane teaches Spanish in the Mexico Academy and Central School District.
To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a declared major in the School of Education with the intention of pursuing a career in teaching.
b. Have earned 27+ credits.
c. Have a minimum 2.75 cumulative SUNY Oswego GPA.
d. Preference will be given to students enrolled in Technology Education or Adolescent Education with an English or Spanish concentration
e. Demonstrate financial need.
f. Provide a personal statement of 200 words explaining your passion in your career path and the financial barriers that stand in your way.
