Linda E. Schultheis Crawford '60 Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Linda E. Schultheis Crawford ’60 as a celebration of being the first in her family to attend college. Funds awarded to her enabled the completion of a B.S. in Education at SUNY Oswego and were the beginning of a lifetime love of learning and a rewarding teaching career. In the spirit of paying it forward, this scholarship seeks to reward an individual pursuing a career in teaching children in grades 1-6 who has demonstrated a commitment to helping others through community involvement and volunteerism. To qualify for this award a student must:
a. Be a citizen of the U.S. and a N.Y. State resident
b. Be enrolled at SUNY Oswego as a full-time student in the School of Education as a childhood education major at the time of selection.
c. Apply in Freshman or Sophomore year (0-56 credits completed, including transfer credits) for award the following academic year.
d. Maintain a minimum 3.00 SUNY Oswego cumulative GPA
e. Provide documentation of participation in/or initiation of a project that advanced a cause or bettered conditions for members of the community. Documentation needs to include a brief description of the project and should also include some form of other supporting documentation such as a letter of recommendation, newspaper articles, videos, or photos.
