Professor Larry Maher Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2023 by the School of Business in memory of Larry’s 30+ years of teaching, mentoring, and supporting School of Business students as they developed their leadership and teaching and teaching skills. Over the years, he provided hundreds of students with hands-on learning experiences in working in teams, writing business plans, teaching, and leading others. The award will support students who demonstrate a financial need and who have proven their ability to succeed academically as they pursue their professional goals.

To qualify for this award, a student must:
Be full-time, matriculated student in the School of Business, majoring in the Department of Management and Marketing.
Have successfully completed one semester (12-15 hours) at SUNY Oswego.
Have a demonstrated financial need.
Submit a brief (500-word max) essay describing goals and how past and present academic and extracurricular activities will help accomplish said goal(s).
