Madeline Restivo Scholarship for Future Special Educators

This scholarship was established by Todd ’91 and Diane Restivo ’92 to provide financial assistance to a student intending to pursue a career in special education. Todd and Diane met at Oswego and married after graduation They have among their children, a daughter with special needs, which has led to a tremendous admiration and upmost respect for people who have devoted their careers to helping others in need. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a full-time matriculated student in the School of Education with the intent on pursuing a career in special education.
b. Preference will be given to students with financial need.
c. Maintain a 3.00 Oswego cumulative GPA.
d. Submit an essay of up to 500 words describing their reasons for pursuing a career in special education.
e. Apply in their freshman, sophomore or junior year.
Note: This scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to have a declared major within the School of Education with an intent on pursuing a career in special education.
