Anne '53 and Kenneth '54 Sherman Education Scholarship

This scholarship was established by family and friends of Anne ’53 and Kenneth ’54 Sherman in honor of their 60th wedding anniversary. Passionate about education, the Shermans have dedicated their lives to teaching in the local public schools. This scholarship is to support motivated future educators, recognizing a student in the School of Education with financial need who demonstrates a commitment to pursuing a career in teaching. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a full-time declared major in the School of Education
b. Apply in the student’s sophomore or junior year (completed 27-86 credits, including transfer credits, by end of this winter session).
c. Be a resident of New York state
d. Demonstrate promise and commitment in the field of education
e. Have financial need
f. In addition to application materials, submit a 300-word essay that demonstrates your promise and commitment to the field of
education
