Jack C. James '62 Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Jack C. James ’62 in appreciation and recognition of the role Oswego plays in enabling non-traditional students to complete their education, gain postgraduate credentials or undergo career change. This award is intended to inspire students for academic achievement and subsequent leadership in the larger society, whether this is within the realm of academia, government, business or the military. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a non-traditional undergraduate or graduate student enrolled or enrolling in SUNY Oswego’s School of Education full or part-time. Secondary preference may be given to students enrolling or enrolled in SUNY Oswego’s School of Business
b. Maintain a minimum 3.00 SUNY Oswego GPA
c. Provide two references from faculty, community leaders or employers that speak to the criteria for this award
d. Complete the application and essay demonstrating a financial need where this scholarship might be the difference in continuing with his or her education
