Michael A. Decandido '87 Scholarship

This scholarship, established by Michael A. DeCandido ‘87 and Cynthia J. Barnello DeCandido ‘86, provides perpetual support for Business administration students with financial needs who strive for excellence both in and beyond the classroom.

To qualify, a student must:
Be a full-time, matriculated Business Administration major (12+ credit hours) with financial need. Preference given to those focusing on, or minoring in Human Resource Management, Risk Management, or International Business.Demonstrate documented community service.
Show involvement in leadership activities such as athletics, performing arts, or entrepreneurship.
Submit a 200-word essay on their passion and confidence to excel inside and outside the classroom.
Apply in the second semester of sophomore year to receive the award the following fall.

Renewability:
This scholarship is renewable for up to four years, including graduate studies in the School of Business, provided the student remains in good academic standing and meets the criteria. Renewal requires an essay demonstrating continued and expanded leadership involvement and how the award supports their commitment.
