Michael J. Caldwell ’70 Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Michael J. Caldwell ’70, a lifelong educator, who was the first person in his family to go to college. His hope is to be able to better other people’s lives by helping them to attain a college education. The scholarship is for a deserving student who is involved in extracurricular or volunteer activities and who lives on campus. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a freshman, sophomore, or junior at the time of application (having completed 12-86 credits, including transfer).
b. Have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
c. Have a declared major within the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, College of Education, Health and Human Services, or one of the hard sciences.
d. Have financial need.
e. Be from one of the following areas: Capital District, Central New York, Northern New York, or Western New York.
f. Be living on campus when receiving the award.
g. Be involved in extracurricular activities.
