James and Mildred Menera Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Virginia Menera Trevor ’65 in memory of her parents, James and Mildred Menera, who encouraged her to pursue a career in teaching. Her Oswego education prepared her well, and she spent 33 years happily teaching elementary school. This scholarship will support a deserving student in the College of Education, Health, and Human Services with financial need. A preference will be given to first-generation college students. To qualify for this award, a student must:
A. Be a full-time student in good standing enrolled in the College of Education, Health and Human Services (first preference) or the College of Communication, Media and the Arts.
B. Have a minimum 3.00 GPA.
C. Have demonstrated financial need.
D. Apply in sophomore or junior year (having completed 27-86 credits, including transfer credits)
E. This scholarship is renewable if the student continues to meet all of the above criteria.
F. Preference will be given to first-generation college students
