Mary E. Laing Scholarship

This award originated in the will of Mary E. Laing, a pioneer educator at the Oswego Normal School. It was first given in 1948 and has been given each year since then to a student majoring in an undergraduate teacher education program. Candidates for this scholarship will be evaluated on the basis of high personal character, leadership, and a strong record of academic achievement. To qualify for this award, a student must:
a. Be a full-time matriculated student in the College of Education, Health and Human Services
b. Be a junior (completed 57–86 credits, including transfer credits, by the end of this year’s winter session)
c. Maintain a minimum 3.60 SUNY Oswego cumulative GPA
