Anastasia C. Gagas Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Chris, Charles, Gregory, and Adam Gagas in memory of Anastasia C. Gagas, who served for ten years as an adjunct professor within the university. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to a student from Central New York pursuing an undergraduate and/or graduate degree within SUNY Oswego’s College of Communication, Media, and the Arts.

To qualify for this award, a student must:

A. Be a matriculated full-time student, either undergraduate or graduate, at the time of application with a declared major within the Communication Studies Department.
B. Be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or first-year graduate student at the time of application to receive the award the following year.
C. Be from the Central New York region. For the purpose of this agreement, the Central New York region consists of the following counties: Cayuga, Cortland, Jefferson, Madison, Onondaga, and Oswego.
D. Have demonstrated campus involvement.
E. Maintain a 3.0 SUNY Oswego GPA.
F. Have demonstrated financial need.

This scholarship is renewable as long as the student remains a major within the Communication Studies Department and maintains a 3.0 SUNY Oswego GPA.
